In today's lesson we looked into Andrew Goodwin and what his theory about music videos was. He believed and came up with the three different categories that music videos fall into. These are Concept, Narrative and Performance, and I will explain these in more detail now.
Concept:
A concept video is where there is very little performance, and there isn't any performance by the artist or narrative being shown in the music video. An example of a video using the concept theme would be.

Narrative:
A music video that involves the theory of narrative, is basically a music video that is telling a story. Through what is shown in the music video, you are able to make out a story or a journey. Normally the lyrics will match the video you see on the screen. An example of a narrative video is 'Ed Sheeran's Performance:
Performance videos show the artist performing either solo or as a band. This is a very popular music video that is seen a lot around the music industry. An example of a performance video is Oasis' Wonderwall
