WWW -
great idea to have a pop up as soon as you go on the
website, good promotion skills. The merchandise page in particular is very
strong
EBI - some of the pages
have basically one sentence of information on them (maybe they aren't
finished???) Not too sure about the background and text, does it fit with James
Couleur's image?
James
Couleur: I like how the genre of
music, indie, works well with the websites design and all of the images that
have been taken. Although the pop up as you first enter the site is annoying, it
is a good promotional strategy to get more people to like your page. The
merchandise looks very professional and is not too much, it isn't too much for
the fans to wear. To improve add links to the social media sites so fans can
gain easier access. Not sure if some of the pages are unfinished but a lot of
them look empty.
·
Wording makes it seem as though it isn't
run by Couleur. Say 'follow me' instead of 'follow us' etc.

Pop ups are annoying

Home page has very little

Sophisticated layout

WWW - The big photo on the
homepage looks really cool and I love the integration with Twitter. Gallery
includes lots of photos which is really good! Merchandise is cool too. The
website fits the artists' genre and style.

EBI - Tour dates need to
be added.

James Couleur’s website is good however it’s really only
the homepage that is completed. The other web pages are completely unfinished as
there is no content on them whatsoever. However their theme is concurrent
throughout the entire website which is by far the website’s best
trait
Although this
website has alot of images and merchandise it is extremely unfinished. What they
have so far seems okay but there is so much that has not been done that it is
very hard to analyse what isn't there. I do like the layout on the homepage and
also the twitter feed down the side. This means people do not have to actually
go on their twitter to keep up to date with him, I think it would look nice if
they had a few edited photographs that are made to look like a professional
photoshoot. They have also added a direct link to the blog which helps show the
influence behind everything.

I think this website will be
good when it is finished as what has been done is very good and of high quality.
There are some high quality sections such as the merchandise but other parts
that need to be finished. I think there needs to be more content as there isn’t
much information about the artist which the fans may want to know. The fans
would however appreciate the gallery as it has many pictures that have been
planned and look professional.
what went
well - the background picture is very creative and fits
well with the layout. the live twitter feed is a very good idea and keeps fans
up to date. the gallery is chock full of pictures which is brilliant. the
merchandise is my favourite out of everyone's - very creative and
clever.
even better
if - there's a lot missing e.g. the teaser trailer isn't
on the front page where it says it will be and the album and tour pages are
empty.
